The opportunity: Change the Game


While Google set to change the industry with its cloud-based gaming platform Stadia—which allows users to play on devices they already own through wifi, rather than a wired console—gamers were skeptical and needed the details explained, based on research that standard ads weren’t working. Who better to enlist for help than athletes known for lugging their consoles across the country?


The idea: Anytime, Anywhere

Partnering with sports culture leader Bleacher Report, Stadia followed prominent athletes on the road to test the platform in places only Stadia could.

While organic content positively lifted purchase consideration by 5 points, YouTube cutdown drove nearly double, pacing ahead of standard ad effectiveness
